B.B.S in Music

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Boston Baptist College’s Music program is designed for individuals who have a passion for creating, conducting, and perfecting musical arts. Music students focus their studies on developing musical skills as well as learning about music theory and music history on a more in-depth level.

By combining our foundational element of Biblical education with the theories and practices of music, students are challenged to use their musical skills to reflect their Christian values, providing them with skills that transfer to both Christian and secular music environments. Students are also challenged to analyze current music theory and musical methods to create new solutions and unique artwork.

AT BOSTON BAPTIST college, music students learn to intertwine their musical skills with their biblical knowledge.

Our graduates have continued on to be effective leaders in both Christian and secular music environments, becoming artists that create music for glory of God.

DR. Jan Zimmerman — affiliate professor of MUSIC

Dr. Jan Zimmerman is an alum of both the Boston Conservatory and the University of Connecticut. Her academic training and classical musical skills make her one of the most effective music teachers in the New England area.
